About Yakov & Partners
Yakov & Partners sustains and promotes best practices in strategy consulting, established in Russia back in 1993.
After the renaming of McKinsey & Company CIS and transfer of ownership in 2022, we brought together 15+ former Big Three partners who offer a wealth of expertise across all key industries. We serve clients in Russia and abroad.
Our work covers three key areas. Firstly, it is management consulting, including strategy development and implementation, operational and organizational excellence, change management programs, digitalization, and M&A support.
Secondly, it is outcome-based “turnkey” business development, including profit and shareholder value maximization, new project management, restructuring, and turnaround.
Finally, we invest together with our partners in our joint projects.
Position summary
The Private Equity Intern will assist the investment team in analyzing, and executing private equity investments. The intern will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in private equity industry and work closely with experienced investment professionals. The position is open in the Moscow office.
Key responsibilities
Assist in the screening of potential investment opportunities
Conduct industry and company research
Support in the preparation of investment memorandums and presentations
Prepare financial models
Participate in due diligence process
Provide general transaction support, various ad-hoc tasks
Requirements
Complete undergraduate degree or enrollment in a graduate program in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics or a related field at a leading university
Work experience in investment banking, valuation, transaction coverage, or due diligence spanning at least six months
Strong academic background in finance, economics, business and mathematics, or a related field
Knowledge of corporate finance and financial modeling
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High working proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
Fluent spoken and written English is a must
Strong interest in the private equity industry
