The successful candidate will play a vital and accountable role in all aspects of origination and execution work across different sectors and products (with the focus on core M&A and ECM products).
The position
IB Associate is a mid-level member of the Investment Banking team supporting senior colleagues in the origination and execution of M&A, ECM and DCM transactions.
Key responsibilities of the role
Providing support to the team on origination and execution of Equity Capital Markets (IPO/ SPO) and M&A transactions. Preparation of presentations, complex financial models, analysis of trends and developments of specific industries.
Interaction with senior team members and client representatives on day-to-day aspects of a transaction. Communication with advisers, lawyers, accountants and other counterparties.
Supervision and mentorship of junior team members (analysts, interns).
Direct communication with clients on various matters related to the execution of transactions.
Various administrative duties.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from a leading Russian or international university.
History of outstanding academic and professional achievement.
At least 3 years of investment banking / private equity / strategy and corporate development experience.
Good understanding of technical aspects of ECM and M&A transactions.
Strong quantitative, analytical, communication, financial modelling and valuation skills.
Ability to comfortably interact with internal and external counterparties in a professional and mature manner.
Ability to work effectively within a team and in a fast-paced environment.
Fluent written and spoken English.
Ability to think and work independently.
