Role description:
The Analyst will work with Executive Director, Vice Presidents and Associates, assisting them with the development and maintenance of client relationships (business intelligence, financial analysis, marketing and execution). The Analyst will also assume full responsibility for a certain number of internal processes (obtaining approvals in the context of deal executions, highlighting and tracking Corporate Banking opportunities across the client list, review of financial statements, preparation of presentation and keeping an accurate reporting).
In addition, the Analyst will be responsible to review and analyse client financial statements and assist in the preparation of pitch books/ executions.
The Analyst will have access to both senior officers of the firm and senior clients. He/she will be challenged to perform at the highest levels of excellence and will be rewarded for his/her achievements in a demanding environment.
Core Responsibilities:
Assisting Corporate Bankers in managing existing client relationships and developing new client base
Preparing internal memos (Balance Sheet committee memorandum, relationship reviews, account plans)
Using financial models and other financial analysis
Assist senior team on client coverage initiatives
Executing end-to-end client transactions
Support project co-ordination, including client communication, co-ordination externally and within the bank
Being responsible for monitoring and evaluating current events, valuation and other financial information on the clients of the group
Conducting industry and company research and helping with credit analyses (reviewing financial statements, listening to and summarizing investor presentations and supporting credit approval and documentation process)
Maintaining internal reports including revenue tracking and pipeline management
Assisting with the preparation of pitch books and other marketing materials
Qualifications
Strong academic record (Minimum of Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with strong academic track-record)
Prior investment banking /debt capital markets/ leverage finance experience
Very strong quantitative and analytical skills (including Excel modelling valuation and PowerPoint presentations)
A team player with a high level of motivation
Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines, and have the aptitude to synthesize large amounts of information and to develop innovative solutions
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with specific ability to communicate concepts and ideas concisely and defend their validity
Excellent technology skills with superior Excel and PowerPoint skills
Strong interpersonal skills, detail oriented, organized, pro-active, intellectual curiosity
Fluent Russian and English
Proficiency with research tools (incl. Bloomberg is preferable)
