Summary:
We offer an opportunity to become a valuable part of the Finance team being responsible for preparation of financial or other reports, monitoring Fund’s financials and performance in a leading independent Investment Manager.
Responsibilities:
Active participation in a Group/Funds’ Budgeting process;
Own the month end process, including preparation and presentation of monthly management pack to Head of Finance, ensuring the highest levels of integrity and accuracy are maintained;
Provide insight and understanding into business performance through detailed variance analysis taking ownership of any work-streams that arise;
Review and audit Funds’ financial statements and reports, prepared by external administrators, ensure all calculations and data entries are correct;
Robust participation in local Funds’ reporting, following special rules and prescribed requirements;
Maintain cash reports on a weekly basis, reconcile with Banks and analyze against Group Budget;
Preparation of routine analysis and ad-hoc reports for management;
Exercise project cost control;
Annual audits, working with auditors in order to meet the deadlines;
Lead process control improvements with management support and ensure corrective actions are performed, including testing and ongoing monitoring;
Other operating tasks upon request.
Requirements:
Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field;
Work experience as a Finance Assistant/Audit specialist or similar role (preferably big 4 (audit) - minimum 3 years of experience), relevant accounting qualification(s), or the ability to demonstrate appropriate skills and knowledge;
ACCA in progress;
Work requires professional written and verbal communication in English and Russian and interpersonal skills;
Excellent numeracy skills & attention to details;
Knowledge of the MS Office suite, advanced MS Excel skills;
Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections;
Result oriented and initiative being able to deliver the results without heavy involvement from the management;
Organizational and time-management skills.
